My holley 390cfm model 4160 bogs off idle and when changing gears and hitting the gas. basically anytime you got to hit the gas for the first time it falls on its face. Once its done bogging and it picks back up you can floor it and its fine. just the intial touch of the gas pedal. I was thinking im getting too much fuel and flooded it but maybe its the opposite and im not gettin enough. It did this when i bought it brand new and it had a stock 25 shooter with a orange cam. changed it to a 37 with a black cam and still did it. really didnt changed much at all. timing is set to 10 btdc. winging the throttle at idle doesnt bog at all, just when its under load. i'll probably have to toy with the shooters and pump cams, but i just thought i ask first and see if maybe someone has already gone through all this bs with the holley 390 on a inline 6?

If your intake is wide open underneath the carb, it's probably aggravating this. The velocity of the intake mixture is not high enough for good off idle response. This is typical of racing components installed on a street vehicle.
More fuel from the accelerator pump may help. Changing the rearend gear to a higher number will help. Changing the intake to something more conservative would help, but you might not have much selection for the six.
