Higher-speed wiper motor?

Higher-speed wiper motor?
For a while now I've been going over the idea of looking into retrofitting a later-model or other wiper motor to my truck, since even on high, my wipers move pretty darn slow compared to newer vehicles. I have the 2-speed non-intermittent switch.
Did the later model F-Series trucks have different motors that may be faster than what I currently have? If not, is there a way I could possibly retrofit a motor from a different vehicle onto my truck, so I could get faster wipers? Currently, the speed difference between Low and High is rather small with the factory setup.

No, the 87 and up wiper motors will not directly fit the 80 to 86 trucks, diffrent mounting. Also those motors a worse than the older ones for failing dead with loose magnets.
Right now I swapped over a 90 cab on to my 84, and I'll be modifying the firewall for the 84 wiper motor to fit. You may want to take it apart and relube the gears, 25 years will dry up grease in them and slow them down.

The only way to fit a newer wipermotor is by modifying the firewall itself. The older truck's have a bigger opening for the motor/gearbox, newer ones are smaller. For me I will open up the hole for the older style to fit in. As for using a newer style one, you probly will have to make up a adaptor plate to fill in.

Haven't done that upgrade yet, but I'm going to seriously look into it. I could definitely benefit from it. Just running the headlights, blower motor and wipers at once like near overwhelms my current alternator. And I'm not running anything unusual, no high-wattage headlights or anything.
