Squeaking Doors on 02 Ford Escape
Hi guys,
I have a 2002 Ford Escape 4WD with 108k on it. I bought the car used about a week ago and now am trying to fix all the issues wrong with it.
When I open and close the doors (yes, all 4 of them) they squeak loudly. It seems that there are 3 different places where the doors are attached to the frame/body of the car by metal rods or bolts. With all of the doors, I can put my fingers on the middle metal rod and feel it vibrating with the opening/closing so I know that's what's causing the noise.
I tried lubing them with this lube spray I bought from the Ford dealer but it doesn't seem to be working. I'm wondering if it's possible these rods could be bent or if there's another way to find out what's wrong.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!
