Can anyone tell me if it is possible to retrofit a 6.4 secondary filter housing on a 6.0?

 

Why would you want to? Just curious.

 

It is known that the filter set for the 6.4 have a larger secondary filter.

I want to see if I can swap the housing out, and use 6.4 filters on a 6.0

 

Put very simply, NO.

I remember asking if it was possible to swap in a 6.4L HFCM (to have the yellow lever drain feature) in place of a 6.0L unit on F-Series trucks while I was in Ford school and the simple answer to that was NO. The 6.4L uses much thicker diameter lines that won't fit into place of where a 6.0L unit resides.

 

If you do want to swap HFCM, swap for the E series VFCM --- much easier to service.
