Carburetor Variable Venturi Feedback Actuator

Is there a way to bypass the carburetor variable venturi feedback actuator? I am doing a custom install, not on a ford but with many ford parts, including the ignition and fuel fuel delivery. I ordered the Holley 5587, not noticing it had the connector on the side.

I would say no. The carb is calibrated to work with the computer that will be modulating the solenoid. It might run, but probably never be exactly right. Sort of a limp home type deal if it's not working.

That means that this unit will be sold when I receive it. I have no use for a computer controlled carburetor with a non computerized engine.

It will run rich without a ECU operating it. I have one of those VV carbs on a 302 engine that may be used in a swamp buggy(if I don't score that 84 460/c6 package).

Was looking at it today while Windoze was reinstalling itself(damm rootkit bug). I seen somewhere that someone made up a adjustable air bleed to replace that solenoid. Have to check around for that info.
