Has to be the starter, right?

If the battery is good and the cables/connections are good and I bypass the starter solenoid and hook the starter cable directly to the battery, nothing happened. It has to be the starter, right?

P.S. I can turn the crank pulley with my bare hands, so since that's free it means that the starter bendix couldn't be stuck, right?

TIA
Joe

If the hammer trick won't do it , then try saying some bad words . . You may need to remove it and see if it will turn free.

When removing the starter, be careful and don't bent the two long bolts.

The good old hammer trick, one of my fav's, it's kept me from getting stranded more than once, i'll give it a shot.

The good old hammer trick strikes again (that pun hurt a little)! It wasn't super happy about turning over, but it did it.
