Hi everyone, just ordered a 2010 Screw Lariat last week. Does anyone know typically how long it takes to build my truck?

 

My 2010 STX Supercab arrived 6 weeks and 5 days after I ordered it. Haha, I actually called my salesman and told him my truck was in his lot. Some of the guys on here received their's earlier, but I think 6 weeks is about right.

 

I ordered mine April 28th and they built it this week, so it should show up the 2nd or 3rd week of June. So thats about 6 to 7 weeks.

 

Rcd my 2010 KR is just under a month from date of order. They actually send update Emails every step of the way from the plant receiving the order to build completion to shipping. Very cool.

 

Sweet so I can expect it probably in 4-6 wks? I can hardly wait.

Who gave you that info? I am trying to figure out when they will ship my truck. From what i have found out, it was built last Tuesday

 

The dealership where you bought the truck gets those updates weekly and can very easily forward it to you via Email as mine did for me. It is very complete with the start and finish of the build and a day-by-day shipping information very similar to what UPS tracking looks like.

 

Thats cool. How far away do you live from the plant where yours was built?

 

Kansas City and I live in South Florida; not sure about the distance...couple of thousand miles I guess.

 

Anyone know about how long after you place the order before the dealer can get the VIN?

 

I ordered mine on April 28th and got the VIN on May 17th. A week or so after that, I got the window sticker online, which gave me the build day on it as well.

Thanks for the info. I live here in KC and my truck is being built in Dearborn MI. Go figure :P
Mine is a fleet truck provided by my company. They use a lease company, so I didn't get to select the dealer, they picked one 45 miles from my house. I guess I can call them and see if they will give me any info on it.

I ordered mine April 4, 2010 and drove it off the lot on May 28th, 2010. It was built May 11th but took that long from transportation to the dealer.

 

Well I just found out that my truck was built on the 2nd of June and shipped on the 3rd.
Not at the dealer yet, but it should be in the next week.
A co worker ordered his the same day, and they were both built on the same day and his dealer got his yesterday. He is in Indy, and I am in KC both trucks came from Dearborn. Makes sense that his is there already. Pretty quick shipping I would say.

 

An Update. My truck is still in Dearborn. Seems like it is on hold for what I think is Quality related issues. I think it fluncked its post production tests. The dealer wouldn't tell me anything, so I went down to the rail yard where they load and unload these trucks, and visited with the logistics company that takes care of the loading and unloading. They were very nice to me and searched for my VIN and told me that it wasn't here at all, but in Dearborn. My coworker's truck has been at his dealer since Monday, and mine hasn't moved. Bummed out. They told me to call back and get updates daily if I wanted and that it was no problem. Looks like it is going to be longer than 8 weeks.

 

I was told that once it is on the assembly line the dealer can get the VIN....2 weeks maybe (?)
