2009? 2010 18" Machined Wheels

Hey all,
I can't seem to post in the WTB forum but I'm wondering if anyone has a set of the 7 spoke, 18" bright machined aluminum wheels they are looking to sell. Not sure exactly what model years they were available, but they look like this:

Thanks!

Those look like the factory 18" chrome-clad versions I have on my 07 Limited. I don't know if there are any aftermarket companies making repros of those yet aside from finding them on craigslist or ebay as factory take-offs.

I'm taking my wheels off shortly to replace them with aftermarket 20s so if you're in the market for that particular wheel I'd be willing to work something out with you if you were interested. The factory wheels have a chrome-clad plastic cover over the original base aluminum wheel. They are not entirely aluminum. They are aluminum with the cover over them. AFAIK Ford went this route to help save cost. Most of the factory wheels for the Expys are of this type.

I've noticed quite a few Limited's lately with this style wheel, but they definitely look like an aluminum finish. Is the chrome-clad plastic cover removeable? Is the aluminum finished underneath? Would you be able to send me some pictures of your wheels? I'm not in a big hurry, so waiting for you to get your new ones isn't a problem.

I don't think I have enough posts for private messages so would you mind posting in this thread?

I'm a fanatic about cleaning and detailing my Expo and I pull my hair out each time I need to clean the 6/12 split spoke rims on my 2007 EB.

Thanks!

@gddyup

How much are you looking for your stock 18's? Are you selling them with the rubber?

Sorry it took me a bit to respond Sky. I got the new combo on this morning and wanted to make sure that I got the stockers broken down without scraping the crap out of them. I just need to clean them up and shoot some photogs on them.

If you were interested in picking up a set just shoot me a PM and we can work something out. I'd like to get them cleaned up and have some good pics so you can see what you are looking at and then we can go from there.

If you're not interested, no biggie, but you GOTTA check out my post with the new combo!

Sorry - have to dissagree w/Berry. I have a set of 20" chrome clad wheels in my garage. They are aluminum with plastic covers. But if anyone is interested in this setup they have 6/32 of tread left, sensors are still in the wheels, ready to bolt on.

When I get up to 25 posts I will post in the "for sale" forum.

B/R,
Randy

Definitely interested. I don't think I have enough posts to PM yet so would you mind posting pictures of them in this thread?

I was mistaken. Aluminum. My main point is the chromed plastic hub cap is not worth $2,000 or whatever Ford charges for the upgrade. Real chromed wheels can be had for that, or less.
