lights on warning tone and blinker click

Hi folks, on my 97 250 HD I get no warning tone/buzz when I turn the truck off, but have left the headlights on. I did take a brief look at the fuse box, but the writing of what fuse connects to what system is written so small that they so they could transfer it to the head of a pin if needed. Any idea what the typical problem is for our Fords when this happens (doesn't happen)- fuse, connection, etc,. Also I get no clicking sound that's audible enough to hear when my turn signals are on leaving me running down the road with them blinking away like I was 83 instead of 43 years old. Any thoughts?? Thanks folks, Keystonepaul

The warning chime is mounted behind the dash in between the ashtray and aux power socket. It is powered by Fuse 17.

The turn signal module may have been replaced with an electronic heavy duty version. They are very quiet by design. You might try swapping in a cheap electro-mechanical model.
