2006 f250 6.0 wont start need help
so we replaced injectors on my kids 2006 6.0. Got the truck to fire up and let it run for about 20 min. ran great no issues at all. He took it for a ride around the block at basically idle speed and didnt make all the way around. the truck started blowing white smoke out the exhaust, he said it looked like a fire extinguisher going off. Anyway got it home and the truck wouldn't fire back up. He tore the right side apart and found the oil rail was loose. he went back through and re torqued everything back down. We tried to start it tonight and there is a puddle of oil under the exhaust, truck wont start at all. When the truck is turning over is sounds like the engine bogs down and wont turn over for a split second and then starts to crank again. I dont have any codes to list yet, hoping to get a scan tool here soon. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. once i get codes i will post them.
Thanks Tim

Same thing happened to mine a few months after I bought it almost 6 years ago.
I took the glow plugs out then cranked the engine to see which cylinder failed. BE CAREFUL, you'll spray diesel everywhere! I was having my wife video it while I cranked (key off, use the red wire on the passenger side) and gave her a good bath in diesel fuel.
You do have to get that fuel out of the cylinder or major engine damage can occur.
Good Luck!

Did you remove the rail and check how the injectors look underneath before screwing it back on?
On the passenger side at the blower box there are 2 rail screws that are difficult to reach. I have had running engines, where these screws were missing.
As bismic suggested, remove the plugs to see if hydrolock is present

Normally I would TOTALLY agree with you, but I have a collection of links to threads on brand new injectors failing (in one thread, all 8 failed). From just observing threads on these forums, two companies seem to experience issues like this - WDI and Pensacola Diesel. That said, with a loose oil rail identified, it certainly sounds like an installation error was possible. I wonder about the torque wrench. Also, what Torx bit setup were you using (brand/type of bit/socket, length, etc)? IMO Torx bit sockets are tools to buy from a QUALITY tool supplier.
