I know what you mean. The OK chapter used to be pretty active. I think that most people here just got plain busy with other things in their lives. Have you sent Stan (chapter president) a pm?

That's what I did when I first joined this chapter. However, back then there would be a couple get-togethers every now and then. The reason that I mentioned that Rogue_Wulff send Stan a pm, is that he would get an e-mail alerting him. Over the last couple years it has really slowed down, and I feel that other tings in peoples lives have taken over.

I thought about sending a PM, but since this chapter seems to be rather inactive, it just didn't seem that important.
Guess I should have sent a request to join the chapter back when I first signed up. It was way more active then, but I didn't even know it existed....... Also didn't really think my old truck was worth the admiration of others, till it won the March 2010 FTE 57-96 classic picture competition. I only entered because there were just 3 other entries, and the entry period was about to close.

It's just an old "Grandpa" truck, as my daughter calls it. Fitting, since she made me a grandpa a couple years back, though she was only 11 herself when I bought it.

I'm getting ready to do a drivetrain swap under it. The I6 is staying, but the trans, rear axle, and king pin I-beams are getting replaced with stuff from a bronco. 3.50 gears under both end beats 2.75 out back any day, in my book.
Since it's very hard to find a decent condition 4wd of this vintage, especially with a 300/C6/9" rear combo, I'm just going to make one. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?

I'm still here, every now and then. With work and racing I just don't get on here very often. Also I have put my old truck on the back burner for now and have just worked on the race car. I havent even started my truck in 6 months. I hope to see a few people in a coule of weeks at the mid america shelby meet.
