My V10 has two plugs that are stuck in the heads. The nut actually twisted off the top of the plugs. All of the threads of the plugs are still stuck in the head. One of the two now has a straight fluted easy-out broke off in it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
Luckily I haven't done it but there are removal tools and thread repair kits available. Some folks have been able to fix without pulling the head. Google will give you all sorts of hits on kits and tools.
Any progress? Sometimes, you can find it on YouTube. If you can, try an oxy acetylene torch, with the smallest tip. Heat the steel until it's red. Good luck.
I had 7 break when I did my plug change. Some broke clean in 2, others just the threaded part came out. The ones that the nut screwed off I used pliers and broke off top and then used a lisle kit 65600.
