lift laws in alaska

So after my second $300 ticket for being lifted too high I've been trying to find a way to mess with the system without lowering my truck. Apparently the guy who drives the old primer gray chevy with the shell on 46" micky tompsons that sits at underground performance has found a loop hole by claiming his truck is either over 10,000 lbs or built to handle over 10,000 lbs. Whichever it was enabled him to change his GVWR to over 10,000 lbs which makes him exempt from frame height restrictions (basically putting him in the same class as commercial vehicles). I dont want to go into the dmv sounding like an idiot before I have a complete understanding of how it works. The GVWR on my excursion is 8,900 lbs. My 46" michelin tires probably weigh 200lbs each and then you add the 14" lift and was built to haul a huge fishing boat like its not even there, so I'm pretty sure I could get away with doing the same thing as he did unless I also need the 500 lbs of chains he has hanging off his truck. Anyone know anything about this and the steps I would have to take?

figured it out..
need to register it as a commercial class vehicle. have proof of all the upgrades like axles, brakes, steering, etc. basically prove that the truck compares to an f450 or f550.

no more height limit for me so im going higher but I need to have a drop bumper fixed to the back of the truck similar to the same setup as a semi trailer so cars cant drive under me.
