Do 300s have any headgasket issues ?

Bummer. In a perfect world.... I guess that's why these engines only last 3--400,000 miles.

Use a Felpro gasket. There are three. Use either of the more expensive ones.

Thinking it over, I can't recall ever taking a head in for a valve job and NOT asking to have it resurfaced. It just seems like a bit of insurance to me.

i would have to agree with f150oxlt. the 300 is a brute, but they do have a history of warping the head if they are allowed to seriously overheat. not crack, warp, which as you all know means head gasket issues. they are famous around old time hardcore rebuild shops. for this. paul. just an op only.
