i took my time when i did it and got the cheapest part i could be it from ford, powerstrokeshop.com or IH when i did mine. and then and got the part that they sold the cheapest from each place. i just did a quick search parts only from just ford around 320.....probably cheaper if you use IH for some..

my.02 only what is burnt or frayed is what needs to be replaced. if its still serviceable leave it be. a new one can fry just as easy as an old one.

its your money im out

I don't want to take anything away from OEM parts as I beleive you get what you pay for.
But you can go to NAPA, Advance, or Autozone etc and get the complete side (2 UVCH, 2 VCG, 2 pigtails) for around $75. Yes, this is Doorman, and I've seen first hand they are good quality.

The early Doorman design from a few years ago, yes, some complaints.
Seems the new design is fine.
FWIW I have one of the Doorman Kits installed on my flow bench. I have easily gone through almost 2000 injectors, hooking up wires, unhooking wires almost a thousand times and the wiring, clips, gasket, everything still works perfectly fine.
I'm just saying is all...

If I had to do the pigtails, I would remove the entire harness from the motor and cut the old ones off, twist the wires and solder the new ones one, covering the joint with shrink tubes. Best, permenant fix, IMO.

Talking Injection valve cover harness and repair plug w/pigtails

Yes that is correct. And a big plus is they are LifeTime Warranty just checked Oreillys web page. This is the same product that many others offer at a much inflated price with only a one year warranty. This includes everything you need to do both sides, 2ea valve cover gaskets, 4ea UVCH, and 4ea pigtail plug connectors. Off Topic but while Im thinking about it for those in need, They also have a new Fuel Bowl Heater-New style (98-02) they have it for $50.99 LifeTime Warranty. Modification to your (94-97) Fuel Bowl is required but its an easy mod, just google (PSD 7.3l Heavy Duty heater modification) for more info. See below info for part#'s and prices. Hope this helps some of you fellow board members.

1997 F150 4.6

I am brand new to this but I have an issue I can't seem to find a solution, I had motors changed in my truck and it had a gas line leak which caused a fire and they never finished the truck,I brought it home and had to put a injector wiring harness on it. I had a relative help with it and there is one wire I can't find where it goes, the one goes to our pressure sponsor but the other wire coming off the harness beside it ,I cannlicate where it plugs in its only about 4in long off main harness by the oil sensor plug in. Any help will be a thankful.

Holy coos this threads 5 years old. Start a new one and tell us what you have. Years of trick and motor and preferably the actual sensor names. I know it can be confusing but it's just as hard on this end. And welcome to the forum
