87 B2 water leak.

87 B2 water leak.
Hey we rebuilt our 87 2.9. Runs good but having problems with water in oil. we pulled it again, spent alot of time doing intake gaskets and added silicone to all suspected spots. Any ideas or fixes out there?

We had heads done at machine shop but I dont think they magged em or anything. No oil in the water or mixing in oil to a white or yellow yet but it loses enough on a one hr drive to overheat. Hate to give up on on it after lots of labor and $.

It might be a freeze plug, doing the testing is the only way to find out for sure.
fwiw: I found one leak in a "blown" engine and it was the heater core that was leaking once I put a radiator pressure tester on it. I put about 30,000 miles on that $300 B2 before I blew the engine for real.
