I know this has been asked before, and in general I know the answer is you can't add sync. But I have a more specific retrofit question. There is a sync retrofit kit for the 2008 Navigator, your vehicle has to have navigation, rear DVD entertainment and be manufactured after 12/04/07. I have an 08 Mountaineer that has all except the manufacturer date after 12/04/07 and of course being a Navigator. I'm sure some vehicles possible got what was needed to use the sync kit before 12/04/07. Is there anyway to tell before hand if your specific vehicle got what was needed outside of the sync hardware? I'd be willing to give the kit a try and report back, but only if I knew there was a decent chance of it working. My radio has the phone button which does nothing. I do not have the phone button on my steering wheel, but from what I understand the 08 Navigators that didn't come with sync didn't have the steering wheel button either.
