Matching a 351M, flexplate and C6

I have a 351M that (I was told) came out of an '82 F250. The engine did not have a flywheel/flexplate or a starter when I bought it. I plan on mating it to a C6 trans. I know there are different types of flexplates available, can anyone tell me which flexplate to get. Anything I should be aware of before buying a starter? Finally, are all C6 bellhousings tall or can they be found with a lower bell? The engine will be going in a '54 F100. The cab is relatively flat so I'm concerned that the tall bellhousing may not sit in the engine bay right; concerned it could hit the firewall. Any and all info appreciated

The starter is the same one as the 429/460. the 351m and 400 share the same distributer also.

99% sure you want TCI 529628 or equivalent. the 28oz imbalance and 11.5" spacing i'm sure of, the 164 tooth i'm almost sure of. in the 'baby'(small pattern) C6's there are 'smooth' bells and 'finned' bells, i don't know if there are both styles in the large pattern C6's? but they may have different profiles if there are
