gas mileage is good if you keep your foot out of it, but where's the fun in that?nothing like hearing the BARRROOOOOOOMM of a 4bbl open up, especially on an I6

no barrooooomm till I pony up for exhaust...btw I love the thread on the exhaust sounds!!! mines quiet as hell right now...still a little more power to be uncorked i guess since I have the factory 1980 ex manifold and exhaust still on it. But I am 100% with ya on opening her up...but when u drive 100 miles a day you at least have to "think" about keeping your foot out of it lol.

I'm with Charlie, only I don't have headers. Mine is very loud. Sounds GREAT down low. I even got compliments on how it sounded today! Still gets buzzy when cruising though. =(

I love the way my 300 sounds with the flowmaster 40.
I want the offy DP, but I'll likely use an edelbrock 600, since I already have one......

I'm tickled pink you learned something from me! haha!

As much as I love the sound of a 300 with a dumped Flowmaster, it is just too loud for me in the cab.

I'm happy enough with it I reckon. You can't tell it's a six down low. I just wish the truck didn't buzz while cruising. Sounds like an airplane!

see, there's the excuse for the bigger amp, and speakers. My step son took out the back seat in his truck like yours, and has 5 - 15" speakers in a box back there. the only thing buzzing is your ears when you ride with him, of course it don't help, I have my eyes glued shut as well
