I have a 1966 F250 with rear springs that are arched much the same as my 1992 F250 front springs. The wrong way. (ok, my opinion)

I bought a 1966 F250 Camper Special to part out. It's really beat up, full of rust and has a bad transmission but only has 4K on a 7 year old rebuild so I'm swapping engines as I have another truck with a bad engine.

Can I swap rear springs to the truck with the bad springs?

 

1966 springs are different lengths/widths than 1992 springs.

 

I was looking to swap between the two 66 trucks.

 

then you should be able to do it, just measure from eye to eyelet on the springs and how wide they are.

 

1961/72 F250 w/o Flex-O-Matic rear springs: 2 1/4" wide / 24" > > eyebolt < < 28"

1968/72 F250 with (optional) Flex-O-Matic rear springs: 2 1/4" wide / 24" > > eyebolt < < 32"
