Dead engine - Temporarily
Dead Truck Question... 2003 F250 Superduty, 5.4, Auto. I have not been driving it so much over the winter and spring. This thing has always started, always run perfectly, and has never needed any service except oil changes. 2 weeks ago, I loaded some small items in the back, took them over to my Son's house (15 miles), unloaded the stuff, talked for about a half hour and went to start it up. It was dead, cranked great, very minimal sputter, but no way it would start. Tried everything I could think of. Finally had it towed to the dealer. Tow Truck guy and I tried everything her could think of. At the Dealer we offloaded it. (Sunday night) tried it again and it was still dead. Left the keys for them. They needed to move it out of the way the next morning, tried it and it started fine. They found no codes, They tried driving it, letting it sit, everything, no problems........Anyone have an idea? It has seemed fine since. The only thing I can think is a flakey fuel pump although it tested out fine or bad gas......

Im guessing there was moisture somewhere that finally dried out. Your initial drive may have turn the moisture into steam, making a bad connection, then after sitting a while, it evaporated away, and now good to go. Was it raining or anything like fog relatively soon before you used it?
