Anyone hear a grinding noise when their a/c turns on? Only happens going up hill and when the engine is under a bit of load. Lasts about a second. I would assume compressor clutch?

 

I haven't heard the grinding noise, but I have had the A/C cut out and blow hot on extremely hot days. Didn't happen in 2009, but it did a few times in 2008. Dealer was unable to duplicate. A/C and Transmission hic-ups are the primary reason I went with the 100K extended warranty.
