Help me find that noise!

Alright, so I just finished putting in my new pedistal with EBPV delete and all looks to be good there. Problem is, everything is back together and the truck makes a horrible almost clicking sound when im driving. It sounds kinda like a card in a wheel, but a little higher pitch. It stays on pace with the RPMs of the motor and gets louder as they get higher.
Im as confident as you can be that everything is put back together right wiht the turbo, y-pipes and such. I really took my time and made sure I diddnt mess it up.
It sounds like it is coming from the alternator when I stand there with the hood up. It nearly impossible driving it to tell where its coming from. When I use my metal pole to listen to everything, the alternator is 'ticking' inside, and I dont know if it should be? Its been a good 3-4 years since I replaced it.
Im really hoping that its a coincidence it has started to go bad at the same time as I just did all that other stuff. Any help on where I should begin or start to look would be great! Thanks in advance guys

Have you removed the belt and ran the engine without it to see if the noise goes away?

Sounds like a textbook exhaust leak. Check your connection where the manifold botls to the uppipe.

Well, I got it fixed. The little dowel on the turbo wasnt lined up with the little hole it goes in on the y-pipe. I knew it as soon as I got it off and saw the soot all around the side. That thing sure is a pain to get lined up! Thanks for the help guys!
