Fuel Water Seperator Fuel Leak

I have a fuel leak coming from, what appears to be the bottom of the fuel water seperator. Change filter housing recently for this issue and it still leaks. Was on a trip to Oragon coast with no problems. Drove the pass last weekend and could fell fuel from under fuel filter housing.

Truck year is important for this one.

Two different water seperators were used.

Firewall mounted 83 to 87.
Fuel filter/water seperator combined unit 87 thru 94.

94 f250. will that filter replace the filter that is there. That is not the filter that is on there. The parts store keeps trying to sell me on like that but I turn that away beings that is not what came off.

Ok so, I am going to get this wix replacement filter 33617 and see how it works. If I understand correctly it replaces the filter with the bowl in the bottom. I has the drain and sensor port built into it. Sounds like a fix. Well reply as to outcome. Thanks for your input 1994F2507.3L and Dave Sponaugle. Have a great day.

i have the same problem.i took my drain out and plugged it with the rubber washer that was there and a nut/bolt.-still slowly leaks cus i used the worn out washer lmao.
id like to have a drain again.this filter has:
# Complete Spin On With Drain And Sensor Port
http://www.amazon.com/Wix-33617-Spin...996969&sr=8-13
is that so the "water in fuel" light will come on when there's water in there?

also,i once or twice saw a site selling the stock housing.anyone have that handy?
edit: oh here that is; Racor bowl for F826B: $45.00
http://www.intellidog.com/dieselmann/filter.htm

That Wix 3617 is notorious for leaking, the sensor also likes to break off in cold weather.

Thats why I recommend the Racor - Parker PF BF811 6.9L Ford Spinon or Racor - Parker PF F829B 7.3L Ford Spinon.

-Enjoy
