noise when i turn key on?

Hi i have this higher piched sound coming from what i think is a fuel pump on the frame rail under the drivers side, i dont remember hearing the pump before but now it makes like a high pinched noise almost like it is clogged or something? any help would be great.

Maybe you could get someone to turn the key while you get under the truck. Get close to it so you can verify that it is the pump making that noise. Does the truck start and are you able to drive it and notice any loss of power. I dont think the pump should make that noise if it is it could be bad... more guys will chime in and help

Well mine is squealing too, I plan on dropping the tank and taking a look in the tank at the pickup line, we may be having some restriction but it's hard to say without seeing your fuel pressure.

I had that squeal too but I opened up the fuel line to install a cackle cure kit. I took it for a long ride and it finally stopped, got all the air out of the lines. Wonder if its the quick connects before the fuel pump from the tank, their on the suction side.

You know, that could be. Maybe I should change it to a larger diameter rubber hose? And what is this crackle cure kit?

But yea, I installed the same kit, just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.
