ok i pulled out the motor in my 1977 f100 with 460 new gaskets and put in back in and the timing chain is dot to dot straight up my problem is the distributor its a msd pro billet i put it in like the stock one tdc then the rotor tords #1 it pops out of the carb so i thought its 180 deg off when i did that nothing at all am i missing somthing ? ive never messed with msd stuff so kind of lost here
Are you sure you wired the new distributor properly? What kind of ignition box are you running with it? I would go back over the instructions and the wires and double check everything. Did you try twisting the dizzy in small increments before you spun the shaft 180? Maybe it was just off to far one way or the other initially. Double check the plug wire to make sure they are in the right spots also.
