How to remove 2005 Escape environment control bezel to replace light

Just take a flat head screwdriver start at the side just above the lighter, gently slide it under the trim panel. There are only plastic tabs holding the trim panel in place, (my repair manual only goes to 2003, I have 2001, I don't think there was much different in our years) Just gently pry the panel out until the trim tabs pop out, and work your way around the panel. If you think your forcing something or it's going to crack or break, stop..... I remember it's was really simple to get off when I had to replace my radio. You will have to disconnect whatever wired connections you have that connect to the panel, for mine it was the hazard, and rear defrost.
If your having to do minor repairs, might be a time to invest in a basic repair manual for your year, like a Haynes Repair Manual.

How to remove 2005 Escape environment control bezel to replace light Reply to Thread
Thanks for the assistance. I gently used a screw driver and the bezel popped off very easily. I need to replace the light bulbs for the environment controls (A/C, fan, heat, etc) I see one one plastic cover over all 3 controls that seem very difficult to disconnect. I also see 2 (possibly 3) blue "*****" sticking out of the white plastic cover. Are those blue ***** the light bulbs? How do you get the bulb out without disconnecting the environment control connections. There is not much cable to pull out the entire console to allow room enough to work.
Thanks
Thanks
