Internationals (Binders) are great trucks and SUVs (Remember Scouts?) but everything you've heard about them being too prone to rusting is true. The 304/345/392 is a great engine, the 72 and later Binders have Mopar Torqueflites for an auto trans, and if I'm not mistaken, Binders where the first trucks to have torsion bar front suspensions. (Whether you like torsion bars or not, you've still got to give them some props for doing them first.) Actually though, the original Jeep Wagoneer had them first back in the early 60s but that was only on the rare 2wd model that got discontinued after only a few years. So I guess that means that the Jeep Wagoneer gets the title for first SUV to have torsion bars. Anyway, keep Binders away from salt and they are good trucks.
Regards, Eric

Yep! Also owned a 1960 IH 3/4 2wd, and a 1961 IH scout 800 4x4, so I feel, I am qualified to rag on them just like GM, Mopar, etc
