Used Edge Insight

A buddy of mine bought an Edge Insight for his dodge, then sold the truck. If I buy it from him (for a great price) will it still work on my 6.0? I have not found anything that says it will not, but maybe someone here can warn me before its too late. Thanks, Rich

I don't see why it wouldn't. The Insight is just an OBD-II monitor, it's not like it was apart of the juice package or anything.

You will need the software program (CD) to program the monitor for your Ford. The program is not friendly with a Vista operating system.

Is that the same thing that "you" would use to set the alarm points etc?

If so, that's really different from the DashDAQ.

I am almost positive that once you program what you intend on monitoring, then you can set the alarms while it's installed on your truck. I myself don't have any alarms set, just temp's and volt readings.

I would also like to add that my Insight CD program is version 2230 if it matters.

When you plug it into the OBD port it looks to see what truck you have. It will find Ford and ask a few questions

Yes it will work in your truck. You can also get the software direct from Edge's website I believe.
