Hey guys
I recently pulled my engine to do a crap load of work to it, so it's been out of the truck for weeks now. Anyways, I put the engine back in and go to put the tranny in neutral to move it in my shop and it seems like its stuck in park. It's a c6 tranny and it shifts through the gears fine but won't roll. I had to put the transfer case in neutral to get it to roll. any ideas on what is going on? thanks

 

Did you have the torque converter fully seated in the trans before you bolted the engine up?

 

IS the linkage to the transmission attached?

Sorry to mess with your thread but all I can picture when I read the title is a he-she unable to scale a fence.

At least my post will keep your thread on top for a bit.

 

I was thinking it could be the linkage - pop it off the lever in the side of the transmission, then try to move the lever by hand (you'll have to put some force into it, but not with channel-locks) and see if that gets you anywhere...
