Gas Tank Size

I'm looking at a very slightly used F150 XTR 2010. Sync, power seat, white. it has an abnormally large sized fuel tank, because it's 110 L, or 28 gallons. i don't know if that's regular sized, because i did the math and it would cost a whopping $107 to fill each time, and my old truck was about $88 at the same price per liter. he says it's a 2010 F150 HD XTR, i don't know what that means, maybe it's a towing package with a big tank?

I, too have the 36 gallon tank. I think the only other size is a 26 gallon tank, but the 36 is standard on a SCREW- I think...

You must be in Canada, the XTR is a XLT with a chrome package, ie. door handles, exhaust tip, I believe 18" rims instead of 17".

My truck has the big tank 135L or 36 US gallons. Yeah it costs more to fill but then you will go farther on a tank...

I asked my salesman why the hell they went from a 30 gallon tank to a 36 with fuel prices going out of control. (bought mine in Jan '09) He said so you don't have to stop as much. Smart a#%.

I love the size of the tank. With my job it means less days that I have to fill up 2 times in one day.

I love the 700+ miles I can go on one tank... Road trip this summer is gonna be nice! My 2000 only has a 25 gallon tank and if I tow anything when I go hunting, I sometimes worry about having to steal gas from my motorcycle in order to make it back into civilization without running out. with 36 gallons, I'm golden!

Note: for 2010, only 4x4 models even have the option of the big tank. A recently-ordered 2010 SCrew 6.5' bed 4x2 did not have the 36gal tank as an option, whereas my 2009 SCrew 6.5' 4x2 did (and I ordered it, naturally).

Doesn't the 36 Gallon Tank only come in the longer bed trucks? The 5.5 ft bed has a 26 gallon I think. The longer bed will give you more room for a larger tank.
I just ordered a Super Crew with the 5.5 bed, and it is coming with the smaller tank.
