Hook up Fuel Pressure Gauge

Well I found a fuel pressure gauge for 40 bucks and would like to know how I should hook it up so I can keep tabs on my fuel pressure. I am also going to get a boost gauge and downpipe (Lol I got paid :P)

To the stock fuel system? I don't know, I have mine on the electric fuel system's regulator.

That's not a good idea on the stock fuel system.
The pulses will destroy even a good liquid filled gague. And besides, it pulses so badly you won't be able to read what the fuel pressure is anyway.

Instead of fuel gauge, get a Pyrometer, trans temp, and boost...

I hooked my fuel pressure gauge into the test port on the rear of the fuel bowl. It's been working just fine for a couple years now.

I put a liquid filled one on the cowl of my truck. It does still pulsate a lot probably ranges 15-20 psi but does give me an Idea of where it is.

Well I am going to go with a Boost, Fuel and Oil pressure gauge on the dash and a Pyro and Tranny Temp on the A pillar. Just gathering parts.

I hooked up some plumbing to where the Schroeder valve was. I kept it on a T-fitting and ran the other end through a hose to the firewall. There I have a fuel separator that connects to another line filled with coolant that runs to a DiPricol pressure gauge on my A-pillar. Looks great and I can stare at the gauge while I drive. Okay, the pyro is the only one I care about. The others are mostly just info and they look cool. Gotta get more...

An electrical sending unit attached to the schrader valve location will act as a damper for the fluctuation and will give you a calm reading inside the cab. I have had my fuel gauge hooked up for over two years and it's "Steady as she goes".

Well, this is the one that I used but, that's not to say that they are not the same or similar. They do appear to differ in design.

Fuel pressure sender

If your going to mount the gauge inside the cab it is a MUST that the sender & gauge be electrical. If it is to be mounted else where than you an use tubing/pressure hose.
