Is this what to do when you can see/hear your locks trying to move but they don't or is this what to do when locks are completely dead (or both!)?
Mine resemble the former.

Both... mine would work provided they had sat for awhile. You know, like two cycles before they wouldn't move? My cousin had a truck and his locks were completely dead... this fix fixed both of our trucks. I'm happy with it and am thrilled with the way they turned out! Let me know if there's anything I can do to help you out...

this was the best fix i have done on my truck....I did it a diff way by taking the door latch out with the acutator but it all came out the same....My driver side actually popped back open (stupid zip ties lol) about a week later so i went in to fix it and it only took me 30 mins to get it out and back in with no issues.....i thought that was pretty quick

Yeah, if you've got two guys, four hands, then you can get the actuators out in 5 to 10 minutes... just take out the door handle and use that hole to work with the actuator. My cousin did his whole CC in an hour or so... pretty snappy with two hands. It also helped that I'd done mine as well... it made it MUCH easier and quicker.

Are you in/near C'ville? It would be really cool if you could lend me a hand with it. I tend to get frustrated with things like this and then go and break things. I'm going to Roanoke the next two weekends. Maybe I could stop on the way/on the way back if you're not way out of the way. I only have 2 doors!

C,ville? Not quite sure what you mean... but I'm actually busy both weekends, sadly. I've gotta help a buddy with his house. Sorry, man... but seriously, it's not quite as hard as it looks. Just get yourself something to drink and/or listen to and you should be good to go. PM me with any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Again, sorry about that...

Smokin'... thanks for the reps!

You're location says Central VA so I assume Charlottesville.

Will this work for the same way for an '01?

Sure will! If I'm right, even some F-150's had the same actuators. I know I'd be safe to say that the '97 to '03 F-150's had them, but I don't know about the newer ones. This fix "should" be good on up to '07 on a Super-Duty. But I know for a fact it'll work with your '01...

My drivers side will 'lock' all of the doors, but every now and then it has 'issues' on unlocking all of the doors. I just reach over and use the passenger switch and it works fine. I was always concerned about prying up the switch pad and breaking a clip or something like that in order to check out the switch.

My brother-in-law has an '02 that has a couple of locks 'dead' on it and I will show him this thread.

Thanks,
reps
