Some real life city milage numbers

85% city 15% highway and i got right at 14MPG even. DIC said I was getting 14.3MPG so it seems pretty close.

Im sure I could have gotten 15mpg if I drove normal the whole time but I didnt. As for highway milage. I dont see anybody getting near the 25mpg average ford got. Maybe 22 at best unless break-in period is extremely long.

If anybody happens to have the exact RPM for peak milage on the highway feel free to post. I havent been able to find it on my own.

*update* At a speed and location where in normal mode you will get around 26mpg (low rpm in a higher gear around 42mph)
When the truck goes into cleaning the filter it will get 13.6MPG.

well that mileage isn't surprising. You should get over 22 on cruise control on the highway if you don't go over 65. For the best highway mileage, you probably have to get the 3.31 rear axle.

Yea, I do have the 3.55's.

Currently at 70mph with a/c on im getting around 17-18MPG on the highway. A friend with a 6.4 said he didnt get his best highway milage till around 2500miles. I guess I will find out for sure when i get a highway trip to do. The soonest one might be with a camper on the back so ill keep track on a towing MPG for u guys too.

Roadking, how many miles on yours? You could still get better with the 3.31's as the motor and everything finishes breaking-in.

It has 394 miles.........The whole trip down, I was fluctuating between 65 and 75 mph.........80 for a couple of seconds at a time.

I wouldn't be surprised if it takes several thousand miles to get it broken in. Your best MPG number is probably an unrealistic 45-55 mph.

I'm also interested in hearing real world feedback on how long a tank of urea lasts. Is it consistent with miles driven, or is it more like fuel and dependent on driving style?

You know, you are probably right, but if it is reliable as heck at the current mpg, I'm happy......Man what a ride!

Second fill up, hand calculated, 12.2 mpg driving 95% city/5% highway. First tank was 13.3 mpg. Hope it gets better.

Just on a side note, the figured tank on original post ended right under 1200miles on the ODO.

I will be driving from South GA to middle PA in a few days, right at 1k miles. CC 4x4 KR shortbox. Truck only has 250 miles on it now and the truck gauge is sitting right around 18.5mpg between 70 and 75
