remove back door panel

A rag got caught where the back door latches and it won't open.
How do I get the back door panel off to be able to access the
latch system and get the rag out?? F250 super duty

Thanks...

Welcome to FTE. Do you have an extended cab or crew cab? What year truck is your 250? Answer those 2 questions so we know which door panel you have and we'll help you get it off.

If its a crew cab... check out this info I put together for installing courtesy lights....

2004 F250 Door Courtesy Lights

The short version is...

- Remove the reflector lens and the screw behind it, 7mm socket needed I believe.
- Pop the window switch panel out, disconnect the wiring, and remove the screw behind it. 7mm again.
- Now lift up and then pull the panel away from the door to remove it.

Not sure how easy this will be with the seat in. You might end up needing to remove that first.

Good luck!

I forgot to mention this is a supercab and I can't get the drivers side back door open.
I need to find out how to get the door panel off, to be able to get to the mechanism that keeps the door shut/locked. A rag somehow got onto the latch jamb on the floor,
the last time the door was shut.

One of my supercab doors just started sticking sometimes. I found that pushing inward at the top of the door, while pulling the handle, pops it loose. Might work for you, might not, but worth a try.
