1994 F350/E4OD Trans Wirirng Woes
Hi to all!
I am in need of some help with the wiring for the E4OD -
I have pin pointed that the ground wire for the trans relay is currently being back fed by a power wire somewhere so the the relay will not activate causing the truck to have only 2nd and 3rd gear - no 1st or overdrive and you have to up/down shift manually.
If anyone could please provide the color and/or location of the grounding point for the relay ground wire that would be great!
Thanks!

Here's the diagrams:
800x600 res of the site makes them a tad hard to read. Might help if you zoom in on your browser a bit (ctrl +) and (ctrl -) to zoom back out.
Ground Location
G100 LH front of engine compartment, on upper radiator support
G101 RH front of engine compartment, on front of fender apron
G104 Rear of LH fender apron
G106 Lower RH front of engine
G107 Lower LH front of engine
G108 RH front of engine compartment, on upper radiator support
G200 Behind bottom of RH cowl panel
G201 Behind bottom of LH cowl panel
G202 Behind bottom of LH cowl panel
G401 Under center rear of vehicle, on rear crossmember
Hope that helps
Chris

Hey guy's thanks for the replies!
The wiring diagram is exactly what I have been looking for! G100 is my culprit.
I removed the relay and checked it with a multimeter and the ground is showing 1.2V which is obviously not right! No one could answer me, not even the trans guy - he said without power he couldn't pull codes then left me haha
oh well
Thanks again

Well my relay ground is actually good - everything in the relay block checks good EXCEPT terminal "D" which is listed as relay output 12V key on/key off 0V
The problem is with the key ON it only has 3.7V - and that's WITHOUT the relay in the socket -
My question would be is the output terminal even supposed to have power without the relay in place?
Also, what should I check next? I am at my wits end - thought I had it figured out and its just kicking my butt
I am just want to know whether or not it should have power without the relay in place and what wire(s) to check next.
Thanks!

Have you replaced the TECA in the engine compartment fuse box.............do you have a dim OD light.
This is an old post I saved when a member had a similar problem........
Hold the phone... I just ran into this problem...
Pull the TECA POWER RELAY, (Transmission Electronic Control Assembly) this is the relay that supplies power to the PCM (Powertrain Control Module). That relay is toast. It's located on the drivers side fender well just behind the windshield washer fuild reservoiur.
I made a post about this about 2 months back or so, what caught my eye was the DIM OD LIGHT and LOSS OF GEARS. Yank that relay and clean the plug, toss relay over shoulder install new one. If you have the trailer tow relay you can put it in place of the TECA PWR Relay, the relays are the same.

Thanks for the reply but I have already replaced the relay
I pulled the trans wiring harness today and ohm'd out the wires and found 3 bad wires then fixed them.
I re-installed the harness and it still will not power up - even swapped a known good computer
I am starting to wonder if the solenoid pack body is junk?
Is there any good way to test the solenoid body?
Thanks
