One thing after another with the Buell. Was riding home on Tuesday and when I got home I had oil all down the inside of my right leg and boot. Oil all over the rear of the bike, battery, swingarm, everywhere. Lucky as heck it didn't make it to the rear tire. The hugger was covered in oil and only a matter of time before it reached the tire which would have been really bad.

I had a small drip for a while from the rocker box breathers. I have the older style that breathes from the upper sides of the heads and blows into the airbox. Eventually pooling up and finding its way out.

But I'm pretty sure this is the crankcase seal. It is shot and forcing oil into the overflow reservoir then spewing out all over the rear of the bike. Can't ride it till I fix it. Hope to have it done this weekend.

I really love the old tuber but I'm looking for another ride to replace or add to what I already have.

Mine has a small oil leak as well but between the 3000 mile oil change I didn't have to add any oil.

Well I've jumped all the way in now.... since they sent me the wrong rear I figured I'd pull the front and start fresh with both tires. Really hoping the rear will be here by Friday so I can do some riding this weekend.

Hope your tires come in.

I'm procrastinating with mine. I'm a little frustrated with it. It's a lot of work for a small part and it's got to be done. I'll be gone this weekend. Just haven't had any time to devote to fixing it.

Had a very big argument with the guy over the tire, all started because I asked him to reimburse me for the $30 I had to go outta pocket on return shipping of the wrong tire. As soon as I mentioned it he flipped **** on me and immediately put a return to sender on the correct tire that was heading my way, also demanded I return the front on my dime and he would reimburse me original purchase price leaving me outta $60. So I hit him with a ebay case and finally go to where he is refunding the money for the rear tire and my $30 shipping I'm keeping the front tire. So I ordered another rear from motorcycle super store last night. It said it was estimated delivery for Friday so my fingers are crossed for that.

Sounds like a pain.

Motorcycle superstore usually has good selection and pricing on tires.

I have used these folks for years. They deliver fast and almost always have the best prices.

Mud, Congrats on the endorsement. I read in the BS thread you passed the test. We all had faith in you. Now we all need to get together and do a ride this year, But after the sun comes out first.

Ordered me a new set of grips for the bike, my hands start cramping after riding long distances theses are a little over 5/8" bigger than stock ones so I hope they cure my issue.

In had a cruise on my KAW 750 vertical twin. Lets you rest your right hand on and off. Didn't have one on my Vulcan but I only rode it to work and up to the parkway. They may be illegal now.
