89 F 250 Lariat 6.9 Diesel
I'm not a new Ford owner. I've had a 66 F 100, a 78 F150, a 88 Ranger, a 91 Ranger, and a 90 Bronco II (still own). The one I'm looking at will be my first diesel.
It's an 89 F 250 (Don't know if there is a Super Duty distinction or not) Lariat, 6.9L Diesel, 5spd, ext. cab, LB, towing package and all. Mileage is 98,000 (verified in title). The interior and exterior are all original and in excellent shape. No faded paint. No dents. Very few dings or small scratches. Not one ounce of rust. Interior is near mint. Engine compartment is suprisingly clean, not recently cleaned just for sale, honestly not very dirty.
It drives like a dream. I never new diesel had that much gitty-up! I was tooling down the road at about 45 mph in 5th gear and stomped the accelerator and was suprisingly sucked back into the seat.
I let my mechanic friend look over it real good and he said everything seems to be original and in place and running great.
I've shopped around town and its the best looking and running truck I've seen for under $10,000. I'm getting it for $3650. How good of a deal is this? I tried bluebook but they only go back to 1990.
