Hello everyone--new here-- another ??? I'm sure has been covered,. The wife just knocked the mirror (Glss. mount seems secure)off o the driver side, needs replacing. How hard is this to do yourself?? What yrs are compatable with 1996 XLT??

I don't know exactly how the mirrors are mounted but on other vehicles I've worked on there are screws under the interior door trim panels. Unscrew, unplug electrical harness and remove mirror. It's not a hard fix. As for compatability, 95-01 should work. Just make sure that you get the same kind, ie: power or manual.
