T85n R11 input shaft for a 292 (HELP!)
I took out my T85 mounted behind my 292. I was planning on installing my recent purchase, T85n R11. The problem is the input shafts. The T85 has a 10 spline 1 3/8 shaft and the T85N has a 10 spline 1 1/16 shaft. What can I do? Can the shafts be switched?
Plan B would be to use a 352 motor I have. will the shaft work for that motor?

1965/71 F100 I-6's & V8's: The T-85 O/D was used with the T-85N transmission: C5TZ7017D .. Input Shaft-9 3/32" long.
No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has C5TZ7017D.

It Should be fine
I'm in a similar situation but mine has to do with the length. I Have a T-85B with the large 1-3/8 dia spline but it is too short. Mine was from a car, T-Bird i think. From my research you should be able to switch the Main Drive with the one from your original, standard T-85 as long as the tooth count is the same.
