Ghost in truck

I have had this problem for a long time. It started with problem rolling down window, then locks went up and down and then a clicking sound from under dash. Now driver window won't roll down, electric locks don't work, and clicking still coming from under dash. The only thing I do know is good is the fuses.

Good luck finding it. I have a similar problem on one of my cars. One day the sunroof, cigarette lighter and power seat all quit working. Fuses were all good and none of the three were ran off the same fuse or wire. I gave up on tracking mine down and at least the seat not working keeps my wife from driving my car lol. Electrical problems can be a PITA to track down sometimes.

Are you saying that the electric locks would lock/unlock when you would roll down the window or just that the locks used to work and now they don't?

The locks go up and down by themselves.

It's a 2009 or 2010 and under warranty right?

Take it to the dealer and document every issue, especially the date. If the dealer can't resolve it, look into Lemon Laws in your state.

I have had the truck for 7 yrs before this started. The lemon law does not apply here.

I had a 2002 Explorer SportTrac that would do funny things with no explanation. Windows would go down by themselves, locks would lock/unlock by themselves, etc. When I took it in for the Firestone tire recall, I told the dealer. They couldn't figure it out either. Then, I got it to drive it with one of the service techs. I drive with my steering wheel in the far down tilt position. When I changed the wheel position, things started happening again. It turns out it had to do with the wiring that went through the steering column area. When I tilted the wheel, it put stress on exposed wiring.
