V & B's with a 4" existing lift ???

Hey all, I've searched and searched but couldn't find an answer. I currently have a 4" bracket lift on my 2000, drop dpwn brackets in the front and at least an add a leaf and 2" block??? in the rear. Not sure if these came with a block or not. I bought the truck with the lift already installed.

I have new V's on the garage floor waiting for the rear set up. Now with my current set up, should I just buy the B's and add the add a leaf from my stock pack and 2" block or F350 block or something else? I realize I may be fine keeping these springs and swapping to F350 blocks but will the B's give a much better ride in the back? I do have airbags so I'm not worried about payload. I would like a 'balanced' suspension by using the V and B combo but if I'm not going to see a difference in the rear, maybe that $400 would be better spent on a ported housing. I get crazy surge w/o towing. Anyway here are some pics, first is how it sits now which is level. Front springs totally shot.

Rear set up,

And what the hell is this? A lower shock mount skid plate? If so, why only on the passenger side?

Bump for the Tuesday crew. 85 views and no ideas, I didn't think my scenerio was this unique.

Well I guess my best bet is to order a set of 350 blocks and ubolts. With the airbags, I may have to make a spacer as the ledge they mount to is at a different height than the stock blocks.

Not much help, but I was baffled about the shocks, mounts, and single skid plate too this weekend when I got my first Excursion. The non-skid driver's side one was loose on mine, I set the bracket to level with the ground, but yours seem to be pushed down at an angle.

If you don't mind - can you measure from the center of your front hub to the fender lip for me? I like the height/stance of yours, and am trying to re-work the lift that came on mine and end up with something I like.

Nice 4Runner in the user image, BTW! Check mine out here... 4x4spot.com

I'll measure it when I get home. The front springs are totally shot so good luck matching the lift. Unless you use my old springs .

Thanks, your 4Runner is nice too. I've added a Warn XD9000I w/syn rope since the pics.

Believe me, that second pic was a close one. We both swallowed our seat covers. Look at how the front tires are loaded and the rear is off the ground. We were weightless and on the verge of going over forward. The scary part is what you can't see and what we could. Straight down with nothing to stop us. We would have rolled about ten times. Pucker factor of 10. Luckily due to an earlier 'almost roll', I had the presence of mind to floor it. While in a stupid low gear it didn't move forward very fast but it was enough to bring the *** down and level us out. PHEW!

Lion's back is pretty awesome and as you could see in the second vid, it's right off one of the main highways. We past it on the way to Hell's Revenge and it's huge in person. It was also closed to the public. There were however, quite a few 70 deg + descents we negotiated. It was scary just using engine braking on those but it worked well and it was awesome.

I'll take some better ones this afternoon and post them, but it's currently riding on 285/75-16's.

Picking up stock F250 springs this evening to see about lowering it down a bit.
