Is this truck worth it?

Looking at a 04 ford f150 supercrew shortbed 4x4 Lariat w/leather, bedliner, backup sensors, bed extender, power seat and all power options. It has 85k miles, its burgundy, and has good tires, brakes, etc... BUT, its not so good cosmetically. A few dents being around a quarter to dollar coin size. LOTS of surface scratches, some deeper scratches. No stains inside except a little by the clothes hanger in the back, looks like it was used a lot, but not for towing. I have them at 14,999 and giving full excellent blue book for my trade (other places wanted to give 1800 less.) I would buy private party, but to get out of my lease, I HAVE to trade in my wifes car, its the type of lease it is.What do you guys think? 5 grand under excellent retail book, and 300 below fair private party book. I cant afford anything newer and the bank wont loan for 60 months on anything older. Then my payments would go up either way.

I think that sounds like your best deal you are going to get. Don't forget the carfax report, very important. Sounds as if you like the truck, are you planning on keeping it a long time? Are they offering any kind of warranty, don't forget spark plug change comming up. You may want them to change the plugs before or just after purchase.

As long as those marks aren't rusted, it sounds like the best bet. You can always repair those marks and scratches if they bother you. It is a truck though so dents and scratches come with a used truck normally.

Yeah, no rust, they might be buffable? Dont know, not too worried. I always plan on keeping a vehicle for a long time, but it never works that way it seems. With a baby on the way, business changing, etc.... Carfax showed an accident, but it looks like it was the small dent on the back bumper. I'm not worried, no salvage or anything like that. Its nice, I was looking at a lifted 03 supercab yesterday, but we could not go 60 months on it, and it was so tall I dont think my wife could have gotten in and out easily even if we installed running boards...but it was SO NICE!!! Oh well, this is more realistic. Thanks!

It dont sound to bad. I bought my 04 extended cab with 51,000 miles on it and there was only one small dent and one small scratch and the inside was spotless and I paid 16000 and that was from a dealer. But depending on how many dents and scratchs there are.
