I know its been posted before but can anybody tell me how to install 2005 tow mirrors with heat and signal lamps on my 2001 F350?? Also what is best way to remove original mirrors?

I put the heat on a switch on the dash. It doesn't time out from the factory and I saw no need for it to be drawing all the time.

 

My '02 had the rectangular connector plug that mates up to the mirror plug but was missing the pins and wires. I went to the dealer looking for the pins with no luck. The parts guy went in the back and clipped off an old wiring connector and extracted the pins with about a foot of wire still attached so I just spliced right into them. LOVE this mod! I also installed mine from this very write-up and it certainly helped out! FTE ROCKS!
