Okay so my explorer dies while im driving but will turn back on after. It has a new alternator, battery, fuel filter. I have no clue what is wrong with it could you help me out.

The first thing you're going to need to do for us to really help you is determine what you don't have when it won't start. Are you missing fuel or spark? If you have a spark tester, that's an easy on to check for. If you don't have a spark tester, you can pick one up inexpensively at a local Harbor Freight Tools store or slightly less expensively at a local auto parts store.

If you don't have a fuel pressure tester and want to see if lack of fuel is the issue, then you can use a can of throttle body cleaner and modulate it in to the intake while another person tries to start the truck. If it starts while modulating the spray, then lack of fuel is the likely culprit.

Since you say your Explorer dies (plural) that would suggest that you have been able to get it restarted. What did it take to get it restarted, sitting to cool, adding fuel, changing the battery? Does it seem to act up more when the fuel tank is low?

4.0 ? You can try reading my post a few posts below yours. My problem turned out to be a faulty fuel pump inertia switch. But yeah, people here will need more info and specs to help you out. But this is the BEST Ford site around. So enjoy !
