Intermittent Start

2002 F150 w/4.6l
Died a month ago and took it to a mechanic. He said it was a fuel pump and it was replaced( I know it has 2 ). Now this is not my truck but a friends so I'm getting this info from him. He drove the truck yesterday and it was fine. Went to start last night but just turned over without firing. He went out this morning and the truck started. Shut the engine off and wouldn't restart. Went back later and the truck started. Any suggestions? 344k miles. I know . Buy a new truck. lol. It's a company truck and his boss is cheap.

There is only one fuel pump in that truck.
Sounds like a bad connection ,or battery. Could also be the starter.
Start by checking the battery terminals and the wire connection at the starter.
