the guys with 6.0's know exactly what they are talking about here. They might be considerably different engines, but the same principles still apply. I highly doubt youre runnin 500 rwhp. This is coming from a fellow 7.3L owner. And please do yourself a favor and find out more about these mods you have. I couldnt agree more about how it sounds like my wife is explaining truck mods.

 

Hopefully he did delete it. or a Mod can assist him and ban the IP also!

If you want to validate what you have said than give us brands, lists, build sheet, more pics, etc

ok ill admit i lie kmy stuff to look better than other doesnt mean im a bad guy or anything... i didnt come in here for competition.. and u gota realize i never once said my bullydog was better than anoynes... o r that it was the nest all of a sudden everyones sayin its crap! but never did i once say y it was better than tuners they talk about! maybe u guys know of better tuners thats great! but i cant afford to buy another !

 

Nobody's asking you to buy a tuner, they're just trying to tell you that the one you currently have is not optimum, by any stretch.

well why would a different tuner get rid of all my black smoke? this tuner allows me to tune on the fly which i realy like! but this tuner is the same for the 6.0l model actually and has way more options.. you can tune the tranny everything! so what would a different tuner offer me?

 

I am not sure about the 4r100 tranny in the 7.3's, but those of us with the 6.0 and the torque shift its a known fact that shift on the fly tuners destry these trannies. Think about it, the torq shift is a better tranny stock than a built 4r100, so if the bully dog, egde, banks, xyz shift on the fly off the shelf tuner destroys a pretty stout tranny imagine what it would do to yours.

Thats all we are saying, and if you do a little research you may find that the DP, or SCT tuners are not as expensive as you think and you will have the tunes that are written for YOUR application. This is what we are trying to get through to you. My truck makes real good power with just a street tune. I have NO smoke. I am running stock sticks and stock turbo so I guess my truck is no compariion to yours but listen to Tex hes done his homework, hes got the bigger sticks and turbo.

I appologize for the last post and I hope that I have not offended nor discouraged you from this forum, but listen to what we are saying. I dont care what you run, I dont need pictures or whatever, I dont care. Ask a question get some input from us and get mad cause you didnt like what you heard...that sir is rediculous.

We are trying to educate you a little. You cant afford to replace your tuner, fine, but just know that those off the shelf tuners arent all they are cracked up to be.

Yes the 6.0 is different than the 7.3 so to say its the same tuner is more than likely not true, like I said I dont know Bully Dog and I dont want to know it.

Dont cancel your subscription, continue to ask questions and heed the warnigs, most of us have been there done it, or some of us (myself included) service these trucks and know what works, what doesnt, and what happens if the wrong equipment is used.

If your brother built the truck and he knows whats what, he needs to tell you what it has so you know what info. to post so we can help you. Otherwise we speculate.
