This is true.... My truck has 30 years of nicks, scratches, fading paint/interior, and a bit of rust on the bed corners and rear wheel arches currently. But, I'm starting to rectify as much of that as I can, as time and money permit. Along with swapping in 4wd drivetrain and a few upgrades to the inside.
Maybe I can get some decent progress, and take newer pics before the finals, to help even the odds.

Yes, all 3 current entries are extremely great looking trucks, and all 3 would be great contenders in the finals.

 

I don't know if he sprayed it, or found an insert from an XLS. The XLS had a factory blackout grill.
Years ago I had a 78 F150 that was missing the grill insert, and I found one in a salvage yard that had the blackout treatment, but the bronco it was in had gone end-over. The owner of the salvage yard told me I could have for $5 per piece, if I could even get it out. Took me a couple hours, but I managed to get it out in one piece. The yard owner lived up to his word and let me have the nearly perfect insert for $5.

I thought about blacking out my grill, but the 80-81 style is chrome/silver, so I decided to keep it that way.

 

How about a good ole' beat up work truck? 410 with a c6 and dana 60 rear end. Hopefully by the time the next poll starts I'll have another Ford truck to enter

You guys notice the funniest things. Ya I call all my trucks spooky so that is a glow in the dark spooky from the show casper. If you drive a big enough truck you don't need a passenger mirror, you just move over and the person next to you either moves or gets ran over......only ran over a couple of people so far Oh and to use the horn I touch the black wire to the metal in the middle of the steering wheel. Still debating whether to fix the truck or if it is cheaper to buy another one in better shape and just keep this as a work truck. Oh in case you didn't know its a 1968 F250 camper special Custom.

No i didnt spray it. It was like that when i got it. I think it came like that from the factory.
