Good Jason.

Just about to head out to the wreckers. So I'll catch you later.

Sure you don't want to trade jobs? I would love to spend the day in a shop instead of at work.

Specially since there is a painter working today and I hate the smell of paint!

Been doing pretty good Jason. It is my day off so I have been out of pocket most of the day. Went to monthly lunch of friends I used to work with. Then went and transferred the wife's Taurus over to my son. Finally got the title straightened out and then found time for him to go to the DMV with me. Now waiting on the AC guy to drop by and service the outside unit since it is warming up. It went through the flood last December but he wanted to wait until this time of the year to service it.

it is a beautiful day here in the 80's.

Oh yeah. Here in BC, we have to buy our car insurance and registration from ICBC (Insurance Corporation of British Columbia) which is a government owned corporation. Car insurace is mandatory and we get our registration with it (inludes plates and a expiration date). Thankfully, we don't have to deal with ICBC for simple renewals, most insurance places can do anything involved with registering/renewing. Our licensing is through the government office and we have to deal with ICBC directly when a claim is involved. I would rather lop a certain part of my anatomy off then deal with those b@st@rds.

It was not bad at the DMV today. The lady was really nice And I was out of there in 45 minutes with the title transfer and new tags. They closed a couple satelite places so that made it a bit more congested. But really not bad.

Anytime there is a claim with ICBC, they will go through unbelievable lengths to either not pay out, or payout as little as possible. Also, when you make a claim, your rate goes up by many, many percent! I have heard of people's rates going up by over 50% for an accident that was techinicaly their fault, but understandable.

That seems a bit harsh.. It is better here in the states. They all advertise first accident forgiveness.
