Only on fuel mileage.
The V10 is better in every other way.
I really do like my IDI, its just not better than the Triton V10.

Stock vs your turbo I will still beat you.

Plus if you get a turbo, so do I.
Then I will have even more over you than stock vs stock.

I have the oldest, least power full V10. If I had the 05-10 I would be able to out pull 6.0s and 6.4s too.

A V10 will not throw a rod until you get past the 500 RWHP mark.
Forged rods take care of that.

I thought You needed head studs to put 15 psi in a 6.9?

Hmm, seems some guys on here forget that there are more of us that have both engines. I'm not going to get into a pissing match like some want to seem to start, but I'll say that both pull well, and depending on gearing and so on, both will cruise along with 6-8000lbs of trailer behind them at 60-70mph without issue. As to mileage, it also depends what the pump price is that particular day as to which I'd rather drive.

Somedays I want to hear that rattle, others the nice smooth rev of 5-6000 RPM is just great to hear.

Ok, back on topic.
It's out and it won't turn on the engine stand.
I really don't want to lay under it with a hoist holding it to check for cavitation, the stand won't rotate the motor over like it should under the weight.
Its flexing until it is in a bind where it can't spin.
Any ideas?

I've read the way to test is to put the cylinders under pressure for XX hours and see if it maintains pressure. If it does, the block is good. If it doesn't, cavitation or some other issue has owned your block.

As far as your engine stand... Which one did you buy? What's its weight capacity rating?

Careful, ya might start spittin out spark plugs LOL

I dunno what could be done about that engine stand. maybe you can get somethin underneath it to help support it so it would be safe to take a peek underneath.
